We are going to be on quite the adventure for the next 2 weeks. We are leaving the dreadful heat and headed for greener pastures. This trip has been in the making on and off for the past year so it is really exciting to see it coming to a head. This will be the longest we have been gone...ever! My brain is actually having a hard time grasping the concept of being away from home, camping for this long. And of course this trip requires intense planning and organization to be able to pack up our lives and head out. The kids are over the top excited too and have been packing up their own toy bags. We are being pretty smart about the whole trip too and are trying to not spend more than 4-5 hours in the car at once as we move across 4 states. The adventure is just beginning...so much fun to be had.
I have all the kids clothes packed and ready to go as well as most of the snacks, towels, kitchen stuff and misc needs. We have all the parishable food and of course the adults to pack up and then we will hit the road later in the weekend. (good thing the dbacks scored 10 runs last night...free tacos tonight...hope they do it again and dinners should be easy peasey) And in case you thought we were Dbacks obsessed, because franky we are, these duffle bags were a give away item a couple years back and have been such a great thing for us. They are just big enough to hold on child's needs/clothes for a week or so...they make life easier!
