Disneyland in October!

We had a wonderful opportunity to go to Disneyland with the "Self" extended family. This was the first time for Shane's sister Kim and her family taking their kiddos and it was a great couple of days of awesome memories. We also had the great priviledge of having Carla, Shane's oldest sister go with us too. George and Cindy joined us for Monday in California Adventure. I love to see all the kids and their joyful experiences together!!!

Candy Corn Dress

I am finally feeling like I have time again with only one home during the week these days to get back to doing some of the things I LOVE! I made this sweet dress for my Gracie-girl to celebrate October and Halloween. These colors look so good on her! I also made candy corn shirts for the other two girls.

October!!

Fall has finally arrived even if it is still over 100 degrees outside. We are enjoying mid 70's in the morning and once the sun goes down in the evenings it doesn't seem so hot either. This is my favorite time of the year for so many reasons. I love the decorations most...it is the only way I will ever get any fall color in my world as long as I live in AZ. I always miss the clothes I cannot wear in the summer about this time of the year and look forward to pulling out scarves, cardigans and boots. (Although technically it is still way too hot!) And finally, I can cook heart warming comfort foods without breaking out in a full on sweat. In fact to bring in this awesome month I am making a big pot of chili and fresh corn bread for dinner. Oh Fall, you have my heart!!!

The Fabulous Friday Fairy has been making weekly trips and this past Friday was all about Fall...she knows me so well!! We made caramel apples as a snack to kick off the weekend!

September Birthday Celebration Lunch

We celebrated Samantha and Hannah's birthdays with the extended family on Sunday. I made cupcakes and the girls were sweet hosts. I am enjoying having girls that are 9 and 6 so much...it is so fun!

Happy 6th Birthday Hannah!!

We love this little girl so much!! She is spunky and happy ALL. THE. TIME. which brings so much joy to our home. We could not imagine our life without her in it!!

Soccer in the Summit 2012

Jacob had their teams annual Flagstaff soccer tournament a couple weekend back. We as parents of the players absolutely love this tournament because it gives us an excuse to escape the heat. The weather couldn't have been more perfect if we tried and it really refreshed my soul! The team played their hearts out like always and came up with a second place finish. (It was a poorly refereed game along with bad attitude and sportsmanship on the other team which was hard to watch, but I am choosing not to dwell on things out of our control!)
