Chili on a chilly day
So we all know it has been down right cold these past couple of days so why not make something warm for dinner? I love making chili for a couple of reasons. One, it smells so good in the crock pot all afternoon. Second, it makes great leftovers, and third, it is yummy!!!
Turkey Chili
1 lb of lean ground turkey
1 large can of Ranch style beans
1 reg, can of black beans
1 reg. can of crushed or diced tomatoes with green chilies
1 package chili seasoning
So easy...brown the turkey. Pour all the contents of the cans in the crock pot along with the seasoning. Add the chili and cook for a couple hours. Add grated cheese and sour cream if desired. And to complete the meal, corn bread muffins. This is a simple, healthy version of a warm hearty meal on the those cold days and the family loves it!
