When Shane and I started dating his youngest sister was in second grade and 8 years old...here she is today, all grown up and headed out on the most amazing adventure of her life. Stacie leaves tomorrow for a 27 month job with the Peace Corp. She will be 'stationed' in the Phillipines helping teach english and being a mentor. Sometimes being the older sibling (and sibling in law) you sort of scratch your head at the logic when someone makes such a huge decision like this, but then you realize just how proud you are that she has the determination, and frankly, the guts to go out there and make a difference. It will be interesting to not have her around for birthdays and holidays but WOW the stories she will be bringing home with her, and hopefully seeing God do some amazing things through her, are enough for the 'left behinds' to look forward to hearing when she comes back.
